Yeah, I get to go to SCHOOL
Can you see the excitement! It was there. At first he said, "Mom, I'm a little nervous." Then when we got there and he could here the kids he said,"Mom, I'm not nervous now." As we walked down the hallway to his class he held my hand very tight. Then we walked in his room and his teachers came to the door to meet him and were so sweet. They said there are 11 boys in the class and 3 girls so I don't think there will be a problem finding enough friends. As I knelt down to tell him good bye and to have a great day, he puckered up to kiss me. I loved it. After school he called me at work and it took him 8 minutes to tell me about his GREAT DAY. He met a friend named Richard and one boys name is Mattie (Remember Mattie the girlfriend) he thought that was kind of funny. He said he stayed on green which is good. They talked about families and he has to take a picture on Thursday. He told them he had 5 in his family. He couldn't believe that this one boy has 9 in his. Hopefully they have lots of animals in their family!
This was exactly what he needed. He didn't quite know where his place was after Hannah went to school and all his friends went to kindergarten. I didn't realize how hard this would be as a mom to hold him back a year. He has also been regressing with Claire. It like he needs extra attention. Maybe its the middle child thing. Who knows. If I only knew all the answers.
Our visit to Oklahoma
This picture was actually taken when Claire was 2 1/2 months old when we went to see Uncle Josh in June. We just got back from a short trip to see him again. He is moving to Colorado. He will live with our cousin Alicia and be near family. He will hopefully do better in school and just better all around. We got there late Friday night and visited then went to bed. The next day the kids went swimming with dad and I helped pack up the apartment and do laundry. Then we went to a fun place called Incredible Pizza and let the kids play games and ride bumper cars. They thought it was 100xs better than Chuckie Cheese. Then Sunday I cooked lunch and we packed some more. It was good to see Josh since it will be a while before we get to see him again. I've enjoyed him being only 5 hours away. I got to have him for Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family. Life changes all the time and You need to be ready. I hope this change is a good one for Josh. He deserves it.

What I wake up to every morning.
I just had to share what I am so fortunate to wake up to every morning. As most of you know I am not a morning person. I even thought getting older I would become one but it's not happening. Anyway, no matter what kind of mood I am in or how tired I am I get to see this cute smiling face looking back at me. How sweet is that? She coos and smiles and even makes these goofy funny smiles ( kind of like the pic) that make the kids laugh. I know she is my last baby and I am enjoying all the sweet moments. She's already growing up too fast and I am kind of sad. I do await with anticipation for each changing month. P.S. We went to the dr. on Friday and she weighed a whopping 13.8lbs. Yeah Claire.

Ready For Battle
This is Hannah and Porter the other day. They were watching Narnia and Hannah was the horse and Porter was Peter. As the battle scene played they pretended to be in the battle too. I loved watching them. The more I thought about it the more I hope that they stay close through out their lives and help each other fight the battle along the way. I hope that she will carry her brother on her back or should I say he will be the one doing the carrying. it This is what makes them fighting all worth while.
Them playing together for a few precious moments.

Fourth Grade here we come!!
This was Hannah's first day of school. She will be going into 4th grade. I ask her if she was nervous and she said no, not really. Guess who was and had to go to the bathroom for her. ME She had her lunch made the day before. She picked out her clothes and went to bed early. She got up before her alarm and was ready to leave at 7:45. I told her I wanted to take her picture and to come in the house. Guess what? We didn't want to be late so I had to take her picture in the van!! (and here it is)
When I picked her up she said I have the best teacher on earth planet! I take it she had a great day. She loves her teachers. She showed me all her books and folders ect. The excitement is in the air. We went to bed tonight just as excited as we were this morning.

My mom is an angel
This picture is a picture of my mom and her mom, my Grandma Eldora. This picture was taken on the day we buried my Grandpa Fredie. My mom is truly and angel in my eyes. She is taking care of my grandma. Anyone whose has taken care of someone knows how much love, time, care and concern go into this. It definitly is a selfless act of service. I know my mom wouldn't want it any other way. They are so cute. They go shopping, shopping and more shopping. I don't think I know anyone who likes to shop more (oh Hannnah does) . My mom takes her to her doctor appointments. She cooks for her and she tucks her in bed every night. She is doing so good. I know its because of all the love and care she has been given. I know my grandma is so grateful for my mom and I know their relationship has really grown. Thanks mom for being an angel. Someday I will be your angel.

Hurt... Porter... NEVER
If something is going to happen, it will to Porter. Last Saturday he fell on the metal frame of the bed and cut a huge hole on the inside of his cheek. I thought we were going to have to have to stitch it up. My boss Dr. Wallace and his wife came by to look at it. He thought it would do more trama to give him a shot and stitches than to just let it heal on its own. So we've had a lot of bland foods and a very sore mouth.
Today Porter was attempting to jump off the diving board backwards. I thought with the float sticking out he was safe.. Ha!! No he wasn't. He jumped and as I watched he slammed his chin on the diving board. Then there was blood and tears. He managed to get out of the pool and I checked him out. To my surprise , no holes, no broken teeth, no tongue bitten off , just a burn on the chin and a bite mark on the cheek. Whew, I was just picturing me,Hannah, her friend and Claire heading to the ER to get stitches. They would have thought the Beverly Hillbillies arrived.
For those of you who don't know we have had a broken arm. Yes, and he's only 5. Just last month he turned 5! I hope this isn't a sign for the furture.

A Good Deed
The other day I was buying school supplies at Wal-Mart and as I was checking out the guy in front of me with 2 kids was telling the cashier he only had $40. His total was over that so he started putting things back. He was then down to 68 cents and the cashier was digging in her smock to see if she had it and she didn't so he started to put something else back and I said," I have it." He was so thankful. I have been there many times knowing I only have a certain amount and then went through the process of taking items off the ticket. I know it wasn't much but, he was about to put a Hamburger Helper back. Now that's a meal for his family. I felt good and hoped I made a difference. It sure made me feel good. If everyone would take the time to look for and watch for opportunities to help out our brother it would be a better world. Now Sister Dew would call that charity. The Pure Love of Christ. If you've read or are reading the book "If Life were easy, it wouldn't be hard." It's a pretty good one.
