I AM A MOTHER!!!!!
Today I had one of those days. Those of you that are stay at home moms understand all too well. It started out with Porter in a great mood and then wham it changed. He was on red most of the day. I think he is getting bored and is so ready for kindergarten. To add to this Claire is running a 103.8 fever and was up off and on all night. She just needed her mommy and wanted to be held (all day). Then I was supposed to feed the missionaries which was Porter's only highlight today and they called Jimmy on his way to get them and said that one of them had a migraine. So all the food and preparation ..... not to mention the clean house... oh well that won't hurt. I could go on and on with things that I would do and then have to redo because of some reason or another. To top it all I have to work the next three days. (which secretly after today I am a little excited). I just read an e-mail from a friend about moms and how we should be proud to say we are a stay at home mom. SAHM that's what I am. I am happy to be there for my children and raise them with values and be there for them when they come home. When they need to talk. I will never regret this opportunity or privilege. I hope to make strong souls to strengthen the world around them. So as I make those lunches, iron those clothes, help with homework, go to games, read them stories, watch those movies over and over, hold them when they are sad, high five them when they've done great things and kiss them goodnight, I say with honor in my heart and conviction in my voice I AM A MOTHER!!!!

Happy 50th Birthday Zia
Nancy threw a 50th birthday party for Zia. She did such a good job. She was able to keep it a surprise. He thoroughly enjoyed it and when it was all over and Zia was opening presents made the comment that he had never had a birthday party before. He had so much fun. I know it was all worth it. Everyone had a great time. Great job Nancy, Sara, and Rachel (Michael too)
Spring Break 2007
Well, usually spring break is not too eventful for us but, I decided this one would be fun. I worked Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday we just stayed at home and played. Thursday we went to Sixflaggs and Friday we went to the museum in Dallas. Friday night we went to Midevil Times. The kids had a great time. The parents are worn out. Nana and Papa bought everyone Sixflaggs passes for their birthdays. Dad took off Friday and went to Dallas with us. I think everyone had fun and it was a spring break to remember.
A "Thoughtful" Moment
The other day I looked out the window and this is what I saw. (sorry about the many sideways pictures- someday I will figure it out) We went to see Bridge to Taribithia and after Porter was in the backyard thinking of ways to build a bridge. He wanted to make one for his sister since the boy did in the movie for his sister. He followed through with his plan and made a crest and built a bridge and walked his sister through to Taribithia. It was so cute. I just love these moments when kids can be kids and just enjoy life with no worries. I hope he will always be a kid at heart (like his dad). Oh and by the way Porter made the crown he is wearing. ( With some help from Hannah)
The Circus Came To Arlington.... starring Porter the clown!!
Well, here you have it Porter the clown. He was pretty cute. Porter was about a foot taller than his friend that was a clown. He told me when they were practicing that the lady couldn't remember his name and kept calling him "tall boy". He said I had to push the car because my legs were too long to drive. He was quite entertaining too. He started out passing out popcorn and then did his funny tricks and ended by throwing confetti all over the people. Thanks Nana for helping with the tie and suspenders.
